Svyelun's Evanescence is a fanart illustration created within the universe of Magic: The Gathering.

This personal project portrays an instant card - a blue counterspell - that dissipates a black spell attempting to attack. Under the ocean, the mermaid softly and swiftly creates a swirl that absorbs the black magic, forcing it to vanish completely. It's my take on an instant card.
